Black Triangle Sighting in Tuatapere, Southland on 2018-05-26 00:00:00 – Triangle mirroring the cloudy sky descended behind row of trees.

The following exert is an eye witness statement. Please read into it what you will. This has been reported to mufon who I am sure are investigating:

This story is on behalf of my adult twin sons(i will call them the boys in the report). saturday 26th may 2018. tuatapere in the south island of new zealand. the time was anywhere between 4.30pm and 7pm there are varying accounts from the 2 boys as to the time. there was still alot of light even though the day was cloudy and and about to rain. driving into tuatapere heading towards invercargill the boys saw a triangle that appeared to be trying to match its enviroment. definately solid but could only see one face of the triangle. as described to me they said it looked like a piece of glass, could see no definitive outline. it looked like a piece of glass had been cut out of the sky. it was either an acute or scalene triangle with the longest point in the direction of the ground, it very slowly descended over the township of tuatapere and went behind a windbreak hedgerow of trees over a farm. here are some depcriptions of the triangle as told to me word for word.
-like looking through a pane of glass or a mirror
-couldn’t tell if what they saw was the front or which angle they saw it from.
-looked like holding a triangular piece of glass up to the sky
-could see its outline but no edges
– not bigger than a large aeroplane
-seen from a distance of about 500 metres but this is debatable as they really couldnt judge the distance.
-the triangle was noticed as it was descending, it looked as low as when a small aeroplane comes into land.
-no lights, sound or emissions coming from the triangle
it was noted that it was a very windy day but the object did not appear to be affected by turbulance, it maintained its steady descent smoothly until it disappeared behind the hedgerow of trees.
-possibly up to 20 metres across
-looked like a part of a cloud but inconsistant to the cloud
-no cloud disturbance was noted
the boys told me that they just stared at it unable to make a comparison to anything that they know of. one of the boys got his phone out to film it but by the time his camera app opened the object was gone. unfortunatley he has since deleted the footage, even though there was nothing to see it would have been good to show exactly where it happened.
the sighting was over in moments and probably less than 1 minute, i feel that they gave me some really good information from a very short time frame.
