A FORMER policeman has alleged he witnessed the Roswell UFO crash in a newly found interview.
A fresh witness account has come to light in a new book and footage where a cop claims he was on duty on the night it happened.
US Deputy Sheriff Charlie Forgus recalls the night he claims to have seen what was a UFO with an alien crew
The Roswell incident is one of the most famous UFO theories around
UFOs TODAY – 70 Years of Lies, Misinformation, and Government Cover-Up, is written by Dr Irena Scott and features the witness account.
Along with this, a never-seen-before video interview with the deputy sheriff has also emerged.
In her book Dr Scott writes: “This gentleman’s unique testimony will be published here for the first time.”
In July 1947 Sheriff Jess Slaughter and Deputy Sheriff Charles Fogus were on duty in a patrol car.
Suddenly they heard reports of a crashed aircraft on the police radio.

In the interview Mr Fogus claims he saw a flying saucer smash into the side of a river bed and that the flying object was “100ft across”.
Describing the scene, he said: “When we got there, the land was covered with soldiers. They were hauling a big, creature.
“The bodies must have been 5 feet tall.
“I saw the legs and feet on some of them. They looked like our feet.”
Mr Focus continued: “The skin was a brownish colour…. Like they were in the sun too long.
“There were soldiers there….about 3 or 4 hundred of them.
“We seen them haul them [the bodies] out there, out of the canyon up to the trucks….puttin them on the tow trucks so they could haul them.”
‘Alien proof’ in FBI X-Files
In July 1947 the military sensationally announced in a press release it had found the remains of a crashed flying saucer in the desert.
But the following day it retracted the statement, saying it was in fact a damaged US Air Force air balloon.
The Roswell incident is one of the most discussed and controversial UFO theories in history.

Witnesses later claimed they had seen alien bodies within a crashed craft.
The strange corpse was taken with the wreckage to the mysterious top-secret Area 51 military base in Nevada.
The closely-guarded nature of Area 51 adds to the intrigue of a site long associated with UFO conspiracy theories.
The base, about 80 miles from Las Vegas, is thought to be used for the development and testing of experimental aircraft.
Many conspiracy theorists claim it has been used for reverse engineering of the alleged crashed alien spacecraft at Roswell.
