The 24-year-old left behind a den plastered wall-to-wall with Illuminati codes and symbols.
In his bedroom that was furniture-free, police found a $2000 statue of 16th-century Giordano Bruno who predicted alien life.
Police also found 14 encrypted books and signs associated with the Illuminati spread across the room’s floor.
Bruno has not been seen since March 27.
According to his father, he was last seen in a t-shirt and a pair of shorts and would have had no money nor travel documents.
Deputy Fabrizzio Sobreira, the coordinator of the Criminal Investigation Office (DIC), who is in charge of the investigations, confirmed to the press all possibilities are being considered.
There are speculations that Bruno was abducted by the aliens he obsesses over.
“We’ve tried to call him on his cell phone, but he’s off, he’s never gone before, he did not take anything, and the last time we saw him he was leaving home,” said Bruno’s father, Athos Borges.
The psychology student went missing shortly after his parents returned from a month-long trip. During his parent’s trip, Bruno stayed with his sister at home, busy with his project.
When his parents left for their journey, his bedroom was said to be normal: But 25 days later they were covered in codes and symbols.
Each of the 14 secret manuscripts in his bedroom each had a different Roman numeral on the cover.
