UFO Sighting in Fort Collins, Colorado on 2018-08-03 00:00:00 – Seen beams of light over mountain top moving in a pattern

The following exert is an eye witness statement. Please read into it what you will. This has been reported to mufon who I am sure are investigating:

The event happened around 12:30am on august 3rd. i live around horsetooth mountain. around 12:15am 1 of my dogs started going nuts downstairs barking and growling, i went to look what was wrong, i didn’t see anything in the yard or side of the house, while i was looking out the side window which faces south west i noticed what appeared to be like a search light in the sky. the beam of white light was rising up from behind a mountain top about 1000 feet higher then we are. our altitude is around 6000 ft. the lights appeared to be coming from a small town of masonville or in that general area. i’ve seen many search lights in my life but what made these different is that the light ended in a squared off feature like it was hitting a wall and stopping after about 1/2 of a mile. i could see that the light was more horizontal then vertical which to me meant whatever was emitting this light was elevated off of the ground. i’ve added a drawn picture of what i seen, the light started in position 1 took about 10 seconds to move to position 2, once it moved to position 2 it turned off and reappeared on position 3 i could see it continued to move but it went behind the mountain top after about 30 seconds it reappeared in position 1. this cycled continued for about 6 cycles. the whole time i was observing this happening my dog was continuing barking, i have 3 other dogs and none of them even woke up during this time. when the lights did stop shining in the sky i did not see anything or hear anything rising in the sky from where i witnessed this event. the other thing that occurred is once the lights stopped my dog didn’t make another sound the rest of the night.
