UFO Sighting in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on 1966-04-01 00:00:00 – Very high cloud cover object came out diag. right to left, stopped went back up like a v

The following exert is an eye witness statement. Please read into it what you will. This has been reported to mufon who I am sure are investigating:

I was 13 in 1966 and had a paper route to earn money for a boy scout trip to philmont. it was a sat. am. and i had finished delivering my papers about 6am and was standing in the street outside my home talking to another paper boy who had finished his route, i was facing south. there were extremely high smooth cloud cover, i’m now a pilot and i would estimate from memory it was overcast at about 10-12,000 ft. a bronze copper object came out of the cloud, stopped and went back into the cloud in a v shape leaving a vapor like trail. from where i was standing it was very distinct and about the size of an aspirin. i looked at my friend, he looked at me, speechless and i went in my home.

i am now 66 and i can still see it as if it was yesterday. i have a bs in comp. sci. and am retired from ibm after 38 years. i have told maybe 5-8 people about this over my lifetime, but feel it important that it be documented before my time is up. i have long since lost track of my friend, but we never spoke about it to each other after that moment.
