UFO Sighting in Memphis, Tennessee on 2019-01-10 18:30:00 – 2 lights flying in formation and 1 light following

The following exert is an eye witness statement. Please read into it what you will. This has been reported to mufon who I am sure are investigating:

While driving my personal vehicle, i turn north bound on germantown parkway from memphis arlington road. the road has a slight incline. just above the horizon in the center of my windshield a noticed two orange lights. my first thought was that they were stars. i noticed they were getting closer and brighter. my second thought was that it was an aircraft. but the lights were orange. the lights turned left (west bound). i pulled over into the first parking i could and jumped out of my car. i pulled out my cell phone to take a picture. by this time the two lights had turned south bound and were rapidly increasing speed. while i was trying to take a picture i noticed a third light west bound. i took a picture which did not turn out very well. the blurry lights on the rights side of the picture are the two lights flying in formation/together. the light on the left side of the picture is the third light. by the time i switched my cam are to video, the first two lights were out of sight. the video shows the third light. i stopped the video and did a quick scan in the sky for other lights. as i tried to start another video, the third light turned south bound and quickly excellerated. i got back into my car and drove south bound and only saw the light for a few seconds before it was out of sight. this is my first sighting. i’m a retired police officer with over 26 years of service. i’m currently a commercial pilot with an airline transport pilot rating. i have never seen anything remotely close to what i saw flying in the sky.
