UFO Sighting in Oxford, Mississippi on 2017-10-08 20:20:00 – Red, green, white, yellow flashing lights hovering over trees for 40 minutes or so

The following exert is an eye witness statement. Please read into it what you will. This has been reported to mufon who I am sure are investigating:

I was sitting outside of my house enjoying the evening around 8:30pm – i noticed something quickly flashing out of the side of my eye and i thought it was a planet. i thought it was strange that it was flashing red so quickly, especially on a clear night without any clouds in the area. the colors were flashing in a circle.

i grabbed some binoculars to see it up close and there were red, green, white, and yellow lights flashing very quickly back and forth in a random sequence. it was small, which is why i thought it was a planet. i then thought it was a plane, but it stayed in one spot, hovering over the trees, for over 45 minutes not going anywhere at al nor getting any larger or smaller. i put my binoculars down thinking that maybe it was possibly a cell phone tower, but still skeptical. after 45 minutes, it dropped behind the trees. i couldn’t find it. if it were a plane, i feel like it wouldn’t have disappeared so quickly behind the trees, it would be a long process. i looked away for no longer than 10 seconds and it was gone.
